Data import into a grid

This page describes data import functionality in the Table Grid Editor for Jira Cloud.  

 

Import from CSV and Excel (.xlsx and .xsl) files is available. Moreover, it's possible to import several files into the grid, predefined with some data. 

Please note

JIRA CSV file requirements are slightly different from the common CSV file requirements. We use common CSV file requirements in the grid import.

You can use following column types with this feature: integer, number, string, list, checkbox, date, time, datetime. 

Table structure and format should be similar in both file and grid. Meaning that once you have created columns and specified column types, be sure to have the same columns inside the excel or csv table as well. 

Column names in the file must be identical to the grid column names.  

  


Once the file import has finished, you will get the status notification.
