This page describes data import functionality in the Grid Custom Field.

You can import data in a grid form CSV file.

Import from CSV and Excel (.xlsx and .xsl) files is available. Moreover, it's possible to import several files into the grid, predefined with some data. 

Please note

JIRA CSV file requirements are slightly different from the common CSV file requirements. We use common CSV file requirements in the grid import.

You can import data from a CSV file into the following column types: integer, number, string, textarea, list, checkbox, date, time, dateTime. 

Table structure and format should be similar in both file and grid. You must have the same columns in the grid and in file. 

Column names in the file must be identical to the grid column names.  

  


Once the file import has finished, you will get the status notification.
