Quick Start Guide

Welcome to Visionade! This guide will help you quickly set up and start using Visionade to create and add reports to Jira Dashboard in Jira Cloud.

1. Setting Up Visionade

1.1 Prerequisites

Before using Visionade, ensure that:

You have Jira Admin or User permissions.
Visionade is installed and configured in your Jira instance.

1.2 Accessing Visionade

Navigate to Jira.
Click on Apps in the top menu and select Visionade.

2. Connecting a Data Source

Only available for Jira Administrators.

2.1 Data Source from Table Grid

Go to the Data Sources tab.
Click Add Data Source.

Fill all required fields.
Click Save to save your data source.

3. Creating Reports

3.1 Create a New Report

Navigate to Reports tab.
Click Create Report.

3.2 Configure Report

3.2.1 Select Data Source

Select a data source by clicking on Source field.

Data Source from Jira:
- Data source from the current Jira instance is connected as default.
- JQL: You can enter JQL to filter Jira issues.

Data Source from Table Grid: You can select upto 3 grids.

Single Grid (select 1 grid): You can select to filter issues of grid by Projects/JQL

Multiple Grids (select 2 or 3 grids): You need to mapping data from grids by clicking Add button, then selecting grid columns.

You can select to filter issues of each grid by Projects/JQL

3.2.2 Configure Rows & Columns

Define the structure of your data using pivot table by dragging dimensions to sections.

3.2.3 Configure Values

Apply aggregations (Sum, Count, Max, Min, Average).

3.2.4 Apply Filters

Filter data by conditions.

3.2.5 Select Chart Type

Choose one of options below:

Table
Column Chart
Bar Chart
Pie Chart
Line Chart.

3.3 Save & View Report

Click Save changes to save report.
View saved reports in Reports tab.

4. Managing Reports

4.1 Edit a Report

Open Manage Reports.
Click and select Edit.

4.2 Search for Reports

Use the search bar in Reports screen.
Enter keywords to search reports by report name.

5. Adding Reports to Jira Dashboard

5.1 Add Visionade Report Gadget

Go to your Jira Dashboards.
Open a dashboard and click Edit.
Click Add Gadget and search for “Visionade Report”.
Click Add on Visionade Report gadget.

Select a report from Report List to display on gadget.

5.2 View Reports in Dashboard

View configured report on gadget by opening Dashboards.

5.3 Change Report in Gadget

Change Report: You can change the current report in gadget to another report by clicking
button and select Configure.

Select another report in Reports list.
