Table Grid Editor does not support Bulk Edit
⚠️ Limitation
Table Grid Editor (TGE) does not support Jira's Bulk Edit operation.
When performing a Bulk Edit on multiple issues containing a TGE grid field, only one issue is updated - the remaining issues are unchanged.
This is an architectural limitation, not a bug. TGE uses a per-user Hibernate session with a temporary table for each edit operation, which only supports single-issue editing. Processing multiple issues simultaneously within a single bulk operation is not possible with this design.
Affected versions: All versions of Table Grid Editor (Server / Data Center).
Important: This limitation will not be fixed. Table Grid Editor is in Basic Maintenance mode -no further feature development will be made.
💡 Alternative
If your workflow requires bulk edit support for grid fields, we recommend migrating to Table Grid Next Generation (TGNG) to support broader Jira operations.
