Welcome to our first beta version of TGNG Library Upgrade 2.0.0! Before you access and try out our product, we have some important notices:

Our Expectations During Your Beta Testing:

  1. Provide Detailed Feedback:

    • We value your input! Please share your experience, including any bugs, issues, or areas for improvement you encounter.

  2. Active Testing:

    • Actively explore the product and test its various functionalities to provide comprehensive feedback.

  3. Understand Pre-release Status:

    • Keep in mind that this is a pre-release version. It may contain bugs and be less stable than the final product.

  4. Submit Detailed Bug Reports:

    • Help us improve by reporting any bugs you encounter. Include steps to reproduce the issue, screenshots, or logs if possible.

What's New in this Beta Version:

In this beta version, we've upgraded the Table Grid with some new functions listed in the #1. Feature List. We encourage you to thoroughly test these new features and also ensure they don't impact the performance of the existing functions

1. Feature list

2. Installation notice for Jira Data Center

  • Recommend Jira version 9.4.x, 9.12.x, or newer. Jira 8.x is no longer supported.

  • For the Datacenter version, we also check for compatibility when you upgrade from an older version to 2.0.0. However, if you choose to downgrade from 2.0.0 to an older version, please be aware that you assume the risk for any potential data loss or corruption.

3. Major overview look

a. Light/Dark mode

Click on the (blue star) button to switch the light and dark-mode.

b. Expand the grid (Full-screen mode)

In Configuration, click the (blue star)

c. Automatic row height

In General Settings, users can click the checkbox for Automatic Row Size. This means that each row's height will be calculated based on the amount of data in it.

3. Installation

Info

  • Recommend Jira version 9.4.x, 9.12.x, or newer. Jira 8.x is no longer supported.

  • We recommend using a separate Jira environment or sandbox environment for testing to ensure your production data is not impacted.

  • We will provide you a Jar file to upload internal into your Jira instance in the tgng20 beta group.

    • Here's how to install the plugin:

  • Download the plugin package provided by our team (.jar file)

  • Go to the "Manage apps" page in Jira:

  • Click "Upload app"

  • Select the plugin package you've downloaded:

  • Click “Upload”

    • Wait until the app has been installed successfully.

    4. Send feedback/Report bug

    • To provide feedback or report a bug, please utilize the Customer Portal as per usual. Kindly ensure that you include details pertaining to version 2.0.0 so we can accurately identify any issues from the 2.0.0 Library Upgrade.

    • We eagerly anticipate receiving your feedback to enhance this feature and will be scheduling a brief meeting with you to discuss further.

    5. Known bugs

    1. The current state of Wiki markup is unstable. Presently, it only supports basic text styling features such as changing color, making text bold, italicizing, and underlining. However, it lacks the capability to insert tables, create links, or align text.

    2. Grid gets reload if we update the columns with type: Date/DateTime/Time - Only on Jira 9.4
